The MTS/IEEE-OES Oceans 2008 Kobe Executive Committee is looking forward to 
welcoming you to our technical visits.  The first visit, on April 10, will 
be to the Disaster Reduction and Human Renovation Institution and the 
artificial lagoon on Kobe Airport-Island.  The second visit will be to 
eSPring-8fon April 11.

You will learn about disaster prevention using lessons from the Great 
Hanshin-Awaji earthquake at the Disaster Reduction and Human Renovation 
Institution.

A team comprised of members from Osaka prefecture University, Kobe University 
and Kobe city is researching the effect of water decontamination at 
the artificial lagoon on Kobe Airport-Island.
